Yoga to Unwind incorporates gentle supported postures, breathing and progressive muscle relaxation to bring a deep sense of calm to the body and mind. We will promote strength, stability, and balance in important muscle groups such as the shoulder girdle, core, lower back, and pelvis. These strengthening exercises will be accessible to all participants, supporting each person according to their individual needs and abilities. After balancing weak and tired muscles, you will find a deeper ability to relax and release. Class will finish with a practice of Yoga Nidra (Deep Relaxation) for a profound sense of peace and well being on all levels.
